A Brief Personal History
My name is Raj Narayan. I reside in Mt Eden. I am from Bangalore a city in Southern India.
Auckland has not always been my home, I grew up in Switzerland and the United States. My parents belonged to a business community from India. My initial intention was to finish studying and join my father’s business to assist him with his operations.
After finishing my high school in India, I attended the Cesar Ritz College in Switzerland to complete my Bachelors in Business and Hotel Management. I pursued a career with the Hilton Group which took me to Florida in USA and brought me to New Zealand. I always had a passion for the finance markets and started working towards it in New Zealand where I took up a job at the ASB Bank in Auckland.
I started my career in the finance industry as a banker and moved into investments and risk with Citigroup in Sydney. I started with AMP from Sydney in 2006 as a Financial Adviser dealing with individuals and companies.
When I am not working I am an enthusiastic sportsman enjoy playing tennis and cricket.
My Beliefs & values
My upbringing and experience has given me a very rooted belief in family values and protecting family lifestyle. I have always seen the difference with the outcome of family’s lifestyle when there is a plan in place for any unseen crisis and incident. I believe I am in the business of assisting clients with creating and protecting their wealth while ensuring there is a protection plan in place for any unaccepted incidents. Its my aim to help clients to achieve these goals as a Financial Adviser. Every customer’s situation is different and its my job to understand those needs and help them with their decision process. |
